i needed this book for a class i was takien and it was like $100 cheeper than the one at school. and it is awsome on my kindle fire hd. great tech adn i can book mark and highlight and search in the chapters. the book itself is great info on human sexuality and all kinds of info on the history of sex and sexual behaviours.
I like the book. It contains a lot of pictures and drawings. It also cover important subject of human sexuality. Good textbook for the initial class into sexology or whatever...
Needed this for a college course. It served its purpose
Many photos and other areas of this edition are omitted, with the message "Text not available due to copyright restrictions" in its place. This might be acceptable for a rental, but not for an outright purchase even if it is deeply discounted over the printed book price. I will not purchase any more textbooks in the future.
Great textbook. I rented it from but am considering buying it to keep. It includes enough pictures, graphs, and personal stories to break up the chapters and not feel like you're dragging your way through War and Peace.
I am nearly done with the Human Sexuality Psych course I taking this semester in college and this text is really interesting and inviting. I like the little sections dubbed, "What do you want to know?" where people/students have asked questions and Caroll has answered helpfully.
I recommend this text. I have read it and I have aced every single test so far. It's great!
I purchased this eBook from because of the price savings. To my disappointment I found out that there was an additional component 'CourseMate' from the publisher, cengagebrain.com, that was needed to access the numerous media links and tools. There was no mention on 's site regarding this missing component.
After accessing the eBook, the cengagebrain.com is referenced immediately and quite often, giving information about CourseMate. If purchased separately, which I would have had to do, CourseMate would have been an additional $100.00! I decided to go without. Information concerning CourseMate needed to have been disclosed by the publisher on the page.
Regarding the content and structure of the book, Sexuality Now Embracing Diversity, 4th Edition, there is nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, a textbook requirement is a requirement, and there is nothing a student can do to change that.
Unfortunately this book and any similar need to be updated yearly or the infortmation is no accurate. This book wasn’t in great condition and wasn’t even cleaned out of receipts or sticky notes and all the pages aren’t even in tact. A few are sliced. Not sure how. But the cut is weird. I’m sad I paid for this.
